Did you know? - Safety and 800N
On my protective jackets and trousers you will find a lot of important information for your safety.
You'll find the "CE" symbol there. This symbol guarantees that the manufacturer's product complies with all applicable European standards.
In addition, you will find, for example, on the label in the collar of your fencing jacket and in the legally required package insert, a reference to the successfully completed test procedures prescribed for personal protective equipment.
For puncture resistance, for example, the world's highest standard was used as the test method: the FIE (Fédération Internationale d'Escrime) standard. Their testing methods are the most stringent in the world when it comes to puncture resistance. In the test method used, a very sharp, needle-shaped metal cone impacts the fabric at high speed.
Please be cautious if other manufacturers don't explicitly test according to the FIE fencing standard, as they usually use less sharp cones in their testing procedures. These aren't comparable to the high level of safety required by the fencing standard.
In the EU the standard has the number EN 13567:2007.
EACH of your jackets and trousers has its own serial number! Using this serial number, we can track which roll of fabric was used. Should a safety issue arise with a jacket, we can contact all customers and recall the products.
IN MOTU protective clothing meets the highest standards possible because your safety is important to me.
