New standard in fencing jackets for historical fencing

The aim of this development is to bring a fencing jacket onto the market that enables fencing with the highest level of safety without major restrictions on movement. Immediately after initial discussions, the Uhlmann Fencing company agreed to participate in this development in cooperation. We have now tested several prototypes and also developed fencing trousers. They meet all the requirements that I had set for myself.

The fencing jacket is made from fully elastic 800N fencing jacket fabric from Uhlmann, which offers much greater mobility and is also lighter than the cotton fabrics previously used in the scene.

After a year of testing, I found a new, fully elastic fabric with a honeycomb structure for the padding, which is even lighter than the fabric and promotes air circulation in the jacket.

The sensitive bony structures of the shoulder area also contain impulse and shock-absorbing foam, which offers additional protection.

The elbows and forearm have no padding, which greatly improves the mobility of the arms. In addition, fencers usually wear additional individual protective equipment in the form of forearm and elbow pads.

The jacket has a front zip and has a bib in the genital area. This bib, although it may look "unsightly" to some fencers, does not provide good protection for the genitals but rather improves the fit of the jacket and therefore safety enormously.

Overall, I am very happy with this jacket. We hope for your trust. The jacket is undergoing CE testing and we hope to be able to add it to the shop in white and BLACK as well as the trousers in 2020.
