Fencing feather HEMA sword "Competition" 95cm blade length
This feather simulates a long sword as a practice sword/competition sword (modern colloquialism "feather") for historical fencing/HEMA. The IN MOTU feather corresponds in size to the long swords of the 14th and 15th centuries and has a slightly longer handle (32cm) so that it can be easily gripped even with fencing gloves.
THIS IS THE VARIANT WITH A 95cm BLADE LENGTH!
The IN MOTU "Competition" fencing feather was developed by us to meet the requirements for safe and high-quality fencing training and competitions with the long sword. The special distinguishing features are the low weight, the high flexibility from a stab load of just 6 kg and the blade geometry, which ensures that the impulses when hitting skin are less painful (when used correctly).
By changing pommels with different weights, you can adapt the weapon to your needs by making it lighter or heavier and thus adapting the sword dynamics to your wishes.
Despite these innovations, we attached great importance to maintaining a historical appearance by basing the shield/ricasso on 16th century German practice swords from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In addition, a high-quality cast designer cross bar, which corresponds to an Italian original from the 16th century, can be selected for an additional charge.
With the IN MOTU "Competition" fencing pen you get a modern long sword in a historical design that will serve you well in lessons and competitions. Ideal for anyone who wants to safely incorporate shocks/stabs into their training. Particularly suitable for combat preparation, combat exercises and lessons with appropriate protective equipment and of course for competitions.
Furthermore, our feather has the new 32cm handle from the Berbekucz forge, which is also used for all other Berbekucz feathers and the long sword. The handle has a standardized plastic core. This means it is now possible to switch between all blades. So you can change easily and quickly with a historically inspired sword blade or a practice blade ("spring"). And of course, if the blades are worn out, simply order a new blade.
