The youngest tester is one of the most experienced tournament fencers in the German HEMA scene. That's why I'm very pleased that he worked very intensively on testing the jacket last weekend.

" Briefly, my thoughts on the jacket: I was pleasantly surprised after I saw a previous prototype at the THFD last year and found it less convincing due to its lack of protection. However, the current model is really well done. Compared to my BlackArmory 800N jacket (previously my favorite jacket), the protection in the area of ​​the upper arms and shoulders is better, but at the front over the torso it is a little worse. The latter is fixed after adding the leather plastron. In contrast to a plastic plastron, the leather is also more comfortable to wear. The forearms are almost non-existent Padded, extra protection must definitely be worn here. Although a little heavier than the Blackarmoury model, the jacket is just as comfortable to wear, the mobility is very good. Even with a mask, the Ochs or another high hat can be taken without any problems. The Uhlmann neck protector with wings (unfortunately no longer available) could also be worn easily under the jacket.

Overall, in my opinion, with the leather plastron it is fully suitable for tournaments, without the plastron it is no problem for regular sparring, I would say. If I needed a new jacket, I actually think I would choose this one. Approximately 250 euros (although without plastron, I suspect) seems absolutely reasonable. "

The jacket is currently undergoing CE testing at a certified institute. As soon as the CE tests have been successfully completed and we have received the necessary certificates to be able to bring the jacket onto the market in accordance with applicable law, sales will begin.
