IN MOTU Old School Practice Sabre M2

Sold out
€120,00

This sabre combines a heavy Olympic sabre blade (so-called Hungarian sabre blade) with a historically inspired steel bell. Bells and blades are produced according to my wishes in cooperation with Uhlmann Fencing. The sabre corresponds in its dynamics to historical practice sabres from the second half of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century.

The sabre bell is made of 2mm sheet steel. The blade has a triangular cross-section and tapers from the bell to the tip so that it only bends in the last third in the thrust. The tang or tang of the blade has the same dimensions as Olympic blades, which allows for our modular design. This heavy version of an Olympic blade has the same safe flexibility in the thrust and in the stroke as FIE blades, but is very stiff and robust in the lower two thirds of the blade.

Especially in free fencing and in competition, this practice weapon is not only safe, but also a lot of fun, as it can be fenced with full intention with little protective equipment.
