This broadsword (basket sword) made of foam and rubber was specially developed and produced for training with a high safety aspect for adults. The broadsword is used in historical fencing as well as in other martial arts, such as Escrima.
The Broadsword has an oval handle, which gives a realistic feeling of where the cutting edges of the blade are. In addition, the blade of the broadsword is not round but flat/cornered, so that a feeling for the cutting edges remains here as well.
With these broadswords, adults can make their first experiences in practice fencing and many forms of play in the best possible safety. With the addition of a fencing mask, fights and competitions can be organised.
