Lukas Mästle Gör at the IN MOTU - UHLMANN - HEMA -FECHTJACKET

We have involved experienced fencers throughout the entire development period of the fencing jacket in order to create the best possible product with our general conditions.

The youngest tester is one of the most experienced tournament fencers in the German HEMA scene. Therefore I am very happy that he has been working very intensively on testing the jacket last weekend.

"Briefly my thoughts on the jacket: I was positively surprised after having seen a previous prototype at the THFD last year and found it less convincing due to its low protection effect. However, the current model is really well done. Compared to my BlackArmoury 800N jacket (my favourite jacket so far) the protection in the area of the upper arms and shoulders is better, frontally over the torso a little worse. The latter is fixed after adding the leather plastron, in contrast to a plastic plastron the leather is also more comfortable to wear. The forearms are hardly padded at all, here an extra protection must be worn in any case. Although slightly heavier than the Blackarmoury model, the jacket is just as comfortable to wear, the mobility is very good. Even with a mask the ox or another high hat can be worn without any problems. The Uhlmann neck protection with wings (unfortunately no longer available) could also be worn well under the jacket.

All in all, in my opinion, the leather plastron is absolutely suitable for tournaments, without the plastron there is no problem for regular sparring, I would say. If I needed a new jacket, I would actually think I would go for this one. About 250 Euro (but without plastron, I guess) seems absolutely reasonable. "

The jacket is currently undergoing CE testing in a certified institute. As soon as the CE-tests have been successfully completed and we have received the necessary certificates to be allowed to market the jacket according to current law, sales will start.
